My husband recons these are fabulous! The clips simply clip over your awning tube, to help secure and tie-down your awning.

By fixing the clip over your awning tube, it reduces the barrel ability to move and therefore shake with any wind. The bracket pulls against the lock of the roller where as in the past we've just used rope, the rope loop can on tension pull against the ratchet mechanism and loosen the awning. AS I say, hubby loves it and we think you will too.

It's one of those caravan hacks we'd wished we'd have invented!
